What are the MOS DEBATES about?

MOS DEBATES is a scientific competition that aims to unite the Azerbaijani youth by the means of trustful debating, critical thinking, and exploring the lovely, progressing world of science. The event features a total of three committees with their own general agendas and topics, where the members of each committee, called ‘debaters’, are expected to bring out the most suitable and effective solution to the pre-given topic in teams while representing a specific organization. The further process will be evaluated by appointed committee judges.

The committees are following:

1) GWC - Global Warming Committee/Saviors of the global warming issue

The debaters of this committee are expected to bring out the most effective solution that would have a profound impact on the decrease in greenhouse gas emissions.

2) WHC - World Hunger Committee/Preventing the risk of world hunger

The debaters of this committee would need to develop the most favorable and long-term solution to the developing issue of the world-hunger, as the lack of nutritional products might not sustain the needs of the growing and aging population.

3) SEC - Space Exploration Committee/Space exploration is not that easy

The debaters of this committee are required to find out the most suitable way of ensuring a safer and more effective travel to space as it currently features plenty of serious challenges and drawbacks.

What are the dates of MOS DEBATES event?

The event of MOS DEBATES will take place from April 6th to 7th, following the general structure of a two-day competition

NOTE: The daily schedule will be announced several days before the event and sent to all the participants as well as further posted in our social media accounts.

What is the venue of MOS DEBATES event?

The event of MOS DEBATES will take place in Landau School Bayil Campus for both days of our event. The exact location is following: 6 Gulbala Aliyev Street, Baku
